January Meeting

Kristi Ann Hunter

Social Media That Won’t Steal Your Sanity

For many writers, social media is a double edged sword. We want to connect with our readers and share more with them but the pressure that comes along with it can send us screaming into the night. In this class you’ll learn ways to make social media work for you without sapping all the creativity energy you need to do the real work: writing.

We’ll look at advanced features of various social media platforms to find tools that can make your online life easier and more effective, discuss how to decide where to spend your time and energy, explore ways to increase your consistency and your content while decreasing the amount of time you spend on it, and review the rules we all need to be following to safe and sane in the modern internet age.

RITA Award winner Kristi Ann Hunter loves sharing stories of love, faith, and fun set in Regency England. As the author of the Hawthorne House and Haven Manor series, she loves spending time with her readers, though the pressures of social media often threaten to take the joy out of those interactions. A graduate of Georgia Tech, she still enjoys playing with her computer and finding ways to make technology work for her. With eight books out and two more set to release in 2019, Kristi’s often busy, but spends her free time with her family and her church just south of Atlanta, GA.

Members and guests must be 18 years or older to attend.
