Removing Identifying Information from Maggie Entries

Microsoft Word:

  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button, point to Prepare, and then click Inspect Document.
  2. In the Document Inspector dialog box, select the check boxes to choose the types of hidden content that you want to be inspected (to be safe, just check all the boxes).
  3. Click Inspect.
  4. Review the results of the inspection in the Document Inspector dialog box.
  5. Click Remove All next to the inspection results for the types of hidden content that you want to remove from your document.

For Older Versions of Word:

  1. Go to Tools, then Options.
  2. Click on the “Security” tab in the popup box.
  3. Under “Privacy Options,” click the box next to “Remove personal information from this file on save.”
  4. Click “OK”.
  5. SAVE the file.

For Mac Users:

  1. Go to Word, then Preferences
  2. Click on “Security” in the popup box
  3. Under “Privacy Options,” click the box next to “Remove personal information from this file on save.”
  4. Click “OK”
  5. SAVE the file

**IMPORTANT: After you save the file, go to FILE and then click on  PROPERTIES. Make sure the entrant’s name is not in the Title field. I had a few entries like that. You’ll need to manually erase it, then save the entry again.
