Founded in 1982, Georgia Romance Writers is a group of authors working to better themselves in the field of romance. We have both published and unpublished members. We have both traditionally and independently published members. A lot about the romance industry has changed since 1982, but GRW is still a place where writers can connect and help each other.
We are a chapter of Romance Writers of America, and members must belong to that national organization as well as our chapter. You can find out more about joining RWA here.
We are also known for our prestigious writing contest, The Maggies, as well as our regional conference, Moonlight & Magnolias. We have a fine tradition in helping our unpublished members learn the skills they need in order to be successful, including our Virginia Ellis Critique Workshop each March and an all-day intensive workshop each April.
